John H. Blake is a real estate, land use, and litigation lawyer with over thirty years’ experience.

He is a former Mayor of the Town of Woodside and, from 1997 through 2001,was a member of its Council.

Mr. Blake is licensed to practice in California. Mr. Blake is admitted to practice in Central District of California and U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit; U.S. District Court and Eastern District of California. Mr. Blake received his law degree in 1976 from Santa Clara University, completed the Trial Advocacy Program at Hastings College of Law in 1979, the Western Trial Advocacy Institute in 2000, and trial skills clinics at the National Criminal Defense College in 2001 and 2004.

Mr. Blake practices real estate, land use, municipal law, eminent domain,construction, bankruptcy, product liability, lender liability, and general civil litigation.

In 2003, he received a unanimous California Supreme Court victory challenging the use of marital settlement agreements to hinder creditors.
