The late
1940s saw what is now the northern end of Silicon Valley grow
from farmland to new subdivisions, public roads, and start-up
businesses. Frank Hannig developed a reputation as a hard
working, honest attorney, serving the needs of a rapidly
developing county with a keen legal and business mind. He also
lent his efforts and support to many worthwhile community
projects and organizations, many of which serve hundreds in
the community today, due in large part to his
efforts.
Frank
Hannig was the attorney for some of the founders of today's
electronics industry. He was the corporate and personal
attorney of Charles Litton, founder of Litton Industries. As
he developed his practice, his legal work and reputation
brought him in contact with the founders of many companies,
including companies such as Hewlett Packard and Ampex. Yet he
remained dedicated to the service of all clients in all their
needs, from real estate, to business to estate planning,
regardless of their station in life. His was a most personal
practice, dedicated to excellent service on a long-term
relationship basis. Respected by his peers, Frank Hannig
served as President of the local Bar Association and was
recipient of the Outstanding Citizen award.
In 1983
he was joined in the practice of law by his son, Hannig Law
Firm LLP co-founder Ted Hannig. Frank and Ted both practiced
at Ropers, Majeski et al, a firm of over 175
attorneys.
Ted
continued the tradition of seeking to provide high quality, relationship-based legal services. After 15 years at Ropers, Majeski,
where he became one of their youngest senior partner, he decided to
bring "big firm" experience to a more client orientated and
personal business law practice. He then opened the Silicon
Valley office for Miller, Starr & Regalia, a highly
respected real estate law firm. While Mr. Hannig's real estate
practice was well served, he wished to better serve his
business clients. Joining with his long-time friend,
accomplished employment and construction law litigator Ann
Liroff, they formed Hannig Law Firm LLP with the concept that
a local firm of experienced attorneys could better serve and
represent their clients. In 1998 they acquired a permanent
home for the Firm at Selby Squares, a colonial style building
on the corner of El Camino Real and Selby Lane. The building
receives many compliments from visitors as a warm and friendly
building, with ample adjacent client parking.
Hannig
Law Firm LLP obtained the highest independant ethics and skills rating for a law firm available
("A-V") and has recently been listed in the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers. There are
approximately 20 attorneys, paralegals, and support staff at
Hannig Law Firm.
Hannig
Law Firm has attorneys practicing in virtually all areas of
business, real estate, employment, tax and trust, and estate
law. Their lawyers are active in many aspects of the local
community, helping numerous civic programs; one of the
attorneys in the firm is Mayor of Woodside. The firm remains
dedicated to goal of complete client satisfaction through high
quality work. The firm prides itself in innovative solutions
to complex transactional and litigation challenges.
Perhaps
one of the firm's greatest honors is serving clients that have
been with the Hannig family for over 50 years. An example of
such representation is depicted above in an early photo of
Frank Hannig's offices; the title company, a first floor
tenant and client in the 1940s, is a client of Hannig Law Firm
today. "Quality, personal and professional service, delivered
with integrity, never goes out of style," explains Ted
Hannig.
